Integrated Business Software Designs Solution for the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland

Integrated Business Software and Solutions has announced that the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) has signed a contract to deliver a fully integrated Membership Management Database System. Integrated Business Software and Solutions demonstrated its extensive experience and capabilities to provide the most comprehensive solution to the RIAI’s requirements.

The RIAI is the regulatory and support body for architects in Ireland. Since 1839 the RIAI has been committed to upholding the highest standards in architecture, and providing impartial and authoritative advice and information in issues affecting architects, the building environment and society in general. The institute has more than 3,000 members and made the decision to implement a system that would improve operational efficiency in the management of this database.

“It was recognised that the existing database was no longer fit for purpose,” says Kathryn Meghen, Assistant Director of the RIAI. “We identified a quantifiable need to replace it with a system that would more effectively support the RIAI’s business processes. We wanted a system that would be reliable and accurate and that would integrate seamlessly with our current systems. This is essential to enable the RIAI to grow and adapt to legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as meet our members needs over time.”

The RIAI went through an exhaustive tender process in order to identify the best possible partner to provide this important solution. “As well as demonstrating the ability to deliver the new system, we wanted to work with a company that has experience of developing and deploying similar systems for other membership-based organisations. Integrated Business Software and Solutions was able to provide several examples of projects they had completed for other organisations, which were happy to act as references. They were also very open and co-operative in terms of our requirement to carry out a ‘people-centric’ tender. We wanted to meet all the key people who would be involved in the project, right through to a meeting between our CEO and Integrated Business Software and Solutions’ MD. This meant we could establish that there would be a clearly identified co-operative and collaborative culture between our organisations, and gave us the confidence that we would work well together,” adds Kathryn.

The project teams from both the RIAI and Integrated Business Software and Solutions are working hard towards going live by the end of the year. Kathryn concludes, “We have every confidence that we will meet the deadline and have the system in place and working before this important time. Once implemented, our members will certainly benefit from the improved services and support we will be able to offer as a result of the new system, and we very much look forward to getting it up and running.”
